To start with, I did not even know what squash was. I thought of it as some kind of drink you take. Courses changed as one day my father came up to me and said you’ll be playing squash. I was stupefied. Well… so was he. – Faiza Zafar
Talking to “Humans of Nust,” Faiza Zafar said that her father had met Jahangir khan at a party and he helped him come up with this epiphany.
Following his whim I got on the track. My first match was against a Canadian player. She beat me 3-0 in the game. Disheartened I was, but this defeat motivated me to play this game with even more zeal. I trained hard; and after a while played the next tournament against the same girl. This time the tables turned. I beat her by 3-0. She had no idea who I was but I had her imprinted on my mind.

Later in the years I won U-15 National Championship and received more than 10 titles in the category. My greatest achievement was to represent Pakistan in Asian junior championship in South Korea and securing 5th rank amongst 16 countries. I wish one day I get the privilege to represent Pakistan in World Open and bring back the glory squash once had.
A message to all my fellows is that everything is possible. You just need to have the power to believe so.”
