Bhawani Shankar Chowdry

Bhawani Shankar Chowdry who was born on 1 January 1959 is a Pakistani Hindu ICT professional and an electronics engineer. Currently he resides in Hyderabad in the Province of Sindh in Pakistan. Conceived in Pakistan, Bhawani did B.E. in Electronic Engineering with First Class Honors from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro (MUET) in 1983. Simultaneously, he was delegated as a speaker in electronics engineering program in MUET. In 1984, he was granted Merit Scholarship by Ministry of Science and Technology of Government of Pakistan to pick up PhD from University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
In 2007–08 he finished a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship supported by HEC from the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, United Kingdom. His exploration work in the zone of Wireless Sensor Networks brought about various productions and is one of the editors of the book "Remote Networks, Information Processing and Systems", CCIS 20, distributed by Springer-Verlag, Germany.

In expansion he turned (became) into a Member of Editorial Board, World Academy of Science Engineering and Technology. He is Guest Associate Editor of International Journal of Wireless Personal communication distributed by Springer Germany.
Upon coming back from UK in 2008, after finishing of Postdoctoral Fellowship, he was delegated as Director, Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT). He was chosen as MUET Lead individual for Erasmus Mundus external Co-operation Window Project: Mobility of Life at Alborg University Denmark. He likewise went to Erasmus Fellowship under strong Ties program at University of Limerick Ireland in 2013.
The Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training on behalf of PM recently appointed Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry meritorious Professor and Dean Faculty of electrical, electronics and Computer Engineering, Mehran University of engineering & technology, Jamshoro along with nine other eminent professionals as member of HEC.
